CSA: In support of local farmers
Are you looking to eat healthier? Are you interested in supporting local and family-owned farms? Do you want to know where your food comes from? If you answered YES to any of the above, we have a suggestion for you!
Community Supported Agriculture (commonly referred to as CSA), gives consumers the opportunity to support local farmers by assisting with farm costs in exchange for a share of the harvest, direct from the farm.
At Harris-Pero & Botelho, PLLC, we have worked with several local farmers who offer CSA participation packages, including Denison Farm located in Schaghticoke, NY; Featherbed Lane Farm located in Ballston Spa, NY; Laughing Earth Farm located in Cropseyville, NY; and Tangleroot Farm located in Essex, NY. Membership and commitment to a CSA farm is dependent upon each farms harvest, membership tiers, and seasonal availability. Each of these farmers provide their CSA members with many fresh and nutritious farm-to-table options on a weekly or monthly basis.
With much uncertainty as of late, it is healthy and satisfying to cut out the middleman and bring fresh produce from a local farm to your table. Visit the websites below for additional information about the farmers, their offerings, and their CSA memberships.

“What makes our CSA special is that it is all on-farm pick-up. At Laughing Earth, our goal is to have our members feel that this is their farm home, and that they are a part of it. All members come here to get their weekly shares, and to spend time picking herbs, flowers and more in the members’ garden.”
