Meet the Team: Megan Rogers, Finance & Legal Assistant

At the Harris-Pero Law Firm, we prioritize building strong, personal connections with each of our clients. By understanding you, your family, your business, and your unique circumstances, we can tailor the most effective plan for your needs. Our relationships with clients often span years, and we believe it's important for you to know who we are too! Recently, we talked with Megan Rogers (whom we call “Meg”) about her role at the firm, what sparked this interest, and her hobbies outside of the office.

Database Enthusiast

What sparked your interest in finance and law?

I had an interest in databases and noticed the need for assistance in offices. My experience in databases and CRM’s made me excited to join the Harris-Pero team to help as they grow and expand and need more assistance, especially with transitioning to newer, more advanced systems.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?

I enjoy the challenge of integrating new technologies in a way that balances innovation with practicality and usability.

You've worked for diverse organizations like Saratoga Hospital, Adirondack Mountain Club, animal rescues, and a historic theatre. How have these experiences shaped your approach to your current role?

Each of these positions required a high level of customer service, so I gained valuable experience in these roles. The extensive customer service background, combined with experience in various database systems, has equipped me with an understanding of different computer systems that is very helpful in my role here.

Working at the firm

What do you enjoy most about working with the team at our firm?

I really enjoy working with the team at our firm because there is a lot of camaraderie and everyone is awesome. We all have a lot of similarities and differences, but everyone has a great work ethic which creates a strong team.

Has working at the firm changed the way you plan for yourself? Your family?

Yes, seeing clients in the office and hearing their stories have made me want to talk to my parents about their plans and encourage my family to talk openly about the importance of planning for the future.

Hiking and spending time with pets

What does a typical weekend look like for you?

When the weather cooperates, my husband and I like to hike and we used to do it all the time, but now the weather has made that a little difficult. I like to hang out with my pets, walk the dogs, garden, and read. Although reading is not just a weekend activity for me!

What are some of your favorite hiking spots and breweries to visit with your husband and dogs?

We love doing things like the Adirondack Fire Tower challenge because it lets us explore the Adirondacks. We have completed the Fire Tower Challenge and are working on the 46er Challenge now. Our current favorite brewery is Wayward Lane in Schoharie that is a farm brewery with a fun atmosphere and great beer.
